We will have a gift exchange for Valentines on Wednesday, February 8th

We will also have a class party that day as well-Wednesday, February 8th.

Happenings for the week of January 30-February3

Notices will be going home today in regards to our field trip to the Observatory next Monday, Feb.6.

Math
-Students are working on Perimeter and Area. The three resources that we are using for this unit is Math Makes Sense, Jump Math and Journeys in Math. A quiz on Perimeter will take place early next week.

Novel Study
-Students are working on their booklet work for the Breadwinner and Legend Pursuit. Students completed their skits last week. We are about half way through each book. We will hopefully complete all our reading and work by the end of next month. 

Science
-Our Solar System work is nearly complete. Please check with your son/daughter that their booklet is nearly complete, including a good title page. THERE WILL BE A QUIZ ON THE SOLAR SYSTEM THIS FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 3.  

Marks for Canada vs. China will be going home today and tomorrow. This was a major project. Check in with your child to see how they did!

Physical Education
- Gymnastics is now complete and we are well on our way to doing some individual dance.

-Friday, February 10- Pro-d day. No School.

-Monday, February 13 Family Day Holiday!

Tuesday, January 24-Students will present their skits for the Breadwinner Novel Study. Check with your child to see how they are doing with that.

Wednesday, January 25-Student Led Conferences and Open House

Friday, February 10-Pro-d day. No classes for Students

Monday, February 13-Family Day-No School

Friday, February 24 Pro-d Day. No School on this day. 

Our study of Venn Diagrams for our Projects

Don't forget that next Wednesday January 25th, the school has Student-Led Conferences starting in the afternoon and our Open House from 7-8pm.  Students will be dismissed at 11:51 that day.

Thursday, January 12-Students will start their presentations for Social Studies (Canada vs. China)

Projects are not officially due until Monday, January 16th.

Students are responsible for making 3 double bar graphs for Math today. Please see that they are done by this Monday, January 9th.
