Important Dates for the week of Mon. Feb. 14

Wed. Feb 16- Maturation talks for the grade six students in the morning.

Fri. Feb.18-Pro-d day-no school.

Mon. Feb. 21-Family Day-no school.

Fri. Feb. 25-Course Completion Day- Students dismissed at 11:35am.

Important Notes regarding assignments.

Language Arts/ Healthy Choices- Students in Div. 3 should be close to finishing their Healthy Choices Part Two projects on Social Community Health. Presentations for this project will begin on Wed. Feb. 16.

Social Studies 7- Students should be finished their project on Spartan Soldiers or Trojan War.  Presentation start tomorrow on Tues. Feb. 15.

Math 6-Students have completed their work on Fractions. Their will be a quiz on Fractions on Mon. Feb. 14.

Science 6- Famous Scientist Projects have been completed and the class will now look at Newton's three laws of motion.

Physical Education 6/7- Students have almost finished their volleyball skill work and will now be playing games later this week. 

 Important Dates for Div.3 for the week of Jan. 31.

Tuesday, Feb. 1- Dance presentations start for physical education. We will be doing volleyball next week.

Tuesday, Feb. 1 -Science Grade 6 only- Famous Scientist project due-presentations will start later this week.

Wednesday, Feb 2. Punctuation Passport booklet due. This booklet must include a colourful title page and some colour throughout the book. 

Wednesday, Feb.2- Healthy Choices part two project. Students can work in partners and will get 4-5 weeks to work on this. Healthy Choices part one overdue. 

Friday, Feb. 18- pro-d day-no school

Monday, Feb. 21- Family Day -no school.

Friday, Feb. 25-Course Completion Day-students dismissed at 11:35am.

 New Year Post

Happy New Year to all!

Here is a summary of important information for Div.3

Language Arts

The class will be finishing up our novel, "Flipped" this week. Students are to hand in their completing questions including their comic strip by Friday, Jan. 14. We will watch the movie for this novel next week.

We will start a mini-unit on goal setting for Language Arts next week.

Social Studies

We will be finishing Ancient Egypt (Gr.7) this week. Ancient gods poster due by Friday, Jan. 14. 

We will start a unit on Ancient Greece next week. 

Physical Education

We are starting a unit on Dance. We will continue with cooperative games in the gym and outside periodically.
