Dear families,

Just a friendly reminder that next Tuesday, Dec. 14. our class will exchange our Secret Santa mugs/treats.

Students have been assigned someone to shop for.  Please check with your child about this. Students are to buy a Christmas/winter mug and fill it with treats. The mug does not have to be new, but like new condition. 

Thank you for your continued support.

There are no major assignments due at this time as we are starting a new working term.

Fri. Dec 3.-Grade 7 Social Studies- Famous Pharaohs Project due.

Elephant in the Garden booklet is now overdue. Please check with your child that they have completed this booklet 

Wednesday, Nov. 10- Remembrance day assembly at 10:30am.

Thursday, Nov. 11 - Remembrance Day- no school.

Presentations for Elephant in the Garden projects continue all this week.

Wed. Oct. 27- Quiz on Mixtures and Solutions for Science 6 students

Wed. Oct. 27- Students in our class are starting their first creative writing story. It will be Halloween themed. This one-page assignment will be due. FRIDAY, OCT. 29. 

Please check with your child that they understand the criteria and expectation for this writing assignment.  This is our first writing assignment so the assignment will be straight forward. 

Friday, Oct. 29- Novel Study booklet due.

Friday, Oct. 29- Orange and Black day at the school.

Novel Study booklets are due on Friday, Oct. 29 . This date has been extended from Mon. Oct. 25.

Presentations for projects (World War 2/Elephants) will start this week and continue next week.

Welcome students and families of Div. 3 for 2021-2022.

Here are some important dates and information to consider in the near future.

Math 6- We are studying Whole Numbers and there will be a quiz on this section on Tuesday, Oct. 5.

Topics covered include comparing/ordering, greater and less than, multiples, prime/composite numbers, standard/expanded form and exponents.

Novel Study 6 and 7- Students are working on a booklet for "An Elephant in the Garden." Students have also been assigned a project for this novel.  The due date for this project is Tuesday, Oct. 12. Please check in with your child to see how they are doing on this project. The project is on google slides/docs. 

Socials 7-  Early man mapping assignment on google slides due Friday, Oct. 1.

Socials 6-  Please check in with Mrs. Sargent in regards to child's rights assignments. 

Science- No info. to report at the present time.
